T. J. Mahar
A native New Englander, T.J. Mahar has been working in the Film and TV business in Los Angeles since his 1989 graduation from Emerson College in Boston. A Co-Owner of Hit Squad, his Production company in Santa Monica, California, T.J. edited Stacy Peralta’s Made in America as well as hosted the production, along with long-time business partner and fellow editor Martin Cutler.
Previously, T.J. has collaborated with Peralta and writer Sam George on Pipeline Masters, another feature-length documentary. T.J.‘s earlier work includes literally hundreds of hours of network and cable TV programming, among them 8 Emmy-Nominated episodes of VH1’s “Behind the Music” series, as well as stints at Paramount Pictures’ feature film marketing department and numerous independent productions. T.J. resides in Mar Vista, California with his wife Faith and boys Ty, age 7 and Diego, age 5.
