Steve Luczo

Drawing from an investment banking background Luczo was an innovator in the technology industry, joining Seagate Technology in 1993 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Technology. After orchestrating what was at the time the largest buyout ever of a technology company, in 2002 Luczo became Chairman of the Board, and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors. Today Seagate is the worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of hard drives in the world.

 

In addition to his successful business career, Luczo is also passionate about sports and the creative arts and is very active in a wide range of philanthropic endeavors. Over the last 3 years, Luczo has concentrated on building a new company, BALANCEVECTOR – a multi-faceted company blending for-profit business ventures with all profits being reinvested in support of numerous charitable and not-for-profit causes.

 

BALANCEVECTOR encompasses a diverse collection of athletes, artists, filmmakers, musicians, and writers from around the world whose efforts go beyond achieving excellence in their respective fields.

 

Today BALANCEVECTOR has evolved into a broad-based entertainment / creative company with three distinct operating businesses: BALANCEVECTOR Sports (sports ownership and athlete sponsorship); Balance Vector Productions (film & television production); and Talking House Productions (music and other audio arts programming). BALANCEVECTOR also makes venture investments and supports various causes and charities with values that align with the BV.

 

Working with Co-producers Shaun Murphy and Gus Roxburgh, Luczo has produced shows for Discovery, National Geographic, BBC, UPN, Network 10 Australia and TV3 New Zealand. Along with MADE IN AMERICA, Luczo’s Balance Vector Productions’ projects include CoolFuel Road Trip, a Discovery Channel series, the mountaineering documentary DYING FOR EVEREST, an upcoming documentary on young people getting involved in politics produced with David Letterman’s company, Worldwide Pants, and an adaption of the best selling book SEASON OF LIFE.
